The aim of the course is to provide students with the practical skills to work with a group of charges who require psychological and pedagogical help. During the course they have the opportunity to learn the specialist skills necessary to hold sociotherapeutic classes in kindergartens, schools and the facilities mentioned in the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 17 November 2010 concerning detailed rules governing the providing and organisation of psychological – pedagogical aid in public pre-schools, schools and facilities and the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 17 November 2010 concerning the conditions for organization of education, raising and care for disabled and socially maladjusted children and adolescents in pre-schools, schools and public or integration units. Moreover, sociotherapeutic and group classes of educational care, rehabilitation, therapeutic and/or psychoeducational nature can be conducted in social welfare facilities and facilities subject to the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health or non-governmental organisations. Graduates possess knowledge, skills and competence in the diagnosis of group processes, planning and carrying out sociotherapy work, leading a group of charges and the evaluation of the pedagogical impact made on the group.
