The chief aim of the course is to prepare executive staff for the professional management of public administration units by improving their executive competence, providing knowledge and developing skills which will enable them to serve in senior executive positions and successfully manage a public organisation. The qualifications obtained during the course will enable graduates to: organise their own work and that of their subordinates, inspire, motivate and supervise their subordinates more effectively, identify and solve the problems of public organisation clients, manage a public administration unit’s budget, appropriately represent the unit they direct and co-operate with the media, identify and respect the differences between public and business management.
