Candidates for these post-graduate studies should be graduates of full-time or part-time first cycle studies with a bachelor’s degree or graduates of full-time or part-time second cycle studies or graduates of full-time or part-time 5-year studies in: Early School Pedagogy, special-needs Pedagogy (any speciality), pedagogy with a teaching major and teaching subjects with pedagogical qualifications. The aim of the course is to provide students who have the pedagogical training to work as teachers/class tutors with qualifications that would allow them to hold educational and educational-rehabilitation classes for persons with intellectual disabilities. Apart from teaching, graduates will have the rehabilitation qualifications to work in special-needs education and rehabilitation facilities for persons with intellectual disabilities, such as sheltered workshops (vocational activation of persons with disabilities), occupational therapy workshops, nursing homes, day care centres and other rehabilitation centres.
