The course is directed to psychology and pedagogy college graduates (with master’s or bachelor’s degrees), who work or are preparing to work in kindergartens and schools (also integrated schools), education and rehabilitation centres, counselling centres and other facilities dealing with the education and therapy of children with various types of developmental disorders, such as specific learning difficulties (e.g. developmental dyslexia), behavioural disorders (e.g. ADHD) or comprehensive developmental disorders (e.g. autism). The curriculum covers work with children at every age (from small children to young adults) and every level of development. The course has the status of post-graduate qualification studies, i.e. after their completion graduates receive an Early Support and the Education and Therapy of Children and Adolescents with Developmental Disorders post-graduate studies diploma issued by the University of Gdańsk and a certificate of the obtained qualifications.
