Candidates for the Political Sciences course should display a good knowledge of the political aspects of the world around them, not only in Poland, but also throughout the world. A good knowledge of geography and historical issues is required, because it would be difficult to “find one’s way” among various countries and regions without it. Political scientists often work as expert consultants for governments and lawmakers. They take part in such operations as the development of election campaign strategies. Graduates can find work in the offices of members of parliament, at various ministries, as political consultants, as European fund raising experts. Work in these fields requires the ability to work in a team, independent and analytical thinking and quick decision-taking.
Political Science studies offer a number of specialisations, such as international relations, journalism, local administration, political marketing, European administration. It is worth to carefully think over the selection of a speciality, because they can determine one’s master’s course and future career.
