National Security is an interdisciplinary social sciences course which combines knowledge about political, social, economic and cultural phenomena and processes. The course teaches analysing and use of the law, security procedures and crisis management at all levels of national policy. Students also learn the essence of security, its specificity and the circumstances in which security actors operate.
The aim of the National Security course is to prepare high-class specialists for work in public and political institutions. Special emphasis is placed on preparation for work for government administration, political parties, social-political organisations, the media and social-political communications, international organisations, local government, culture and education institutions, research and development institutions and their related structures, including specialist organisations such as those dealing with migration, Polish expatriates, ethnic groups, national and international security, social welfare or human rights.
