University of Gdańsk
Faculty of Law and Administration
part-time first cycle degree,
full-time first cycle degree

Criminology at the University of Gdańsk is a cutting-edge course that is precursory in Poland and unique in Europe established by two University of Gdańsk faculties: Social Studies and Law and Administration in collaboration with the Polish Academy of Sciences. Besides having classes by highly qualified university staff, during the course you will have the opportunity to take part in workshops run by probation officers, psychological diagnosis centre staff, police, municipal police and penitentiary staff. The Criminology course provides knowledge and practical skills that make one highly qualified to work in broadly understood law enforcement (e.g. the police, probation officers, penitentiary staff) and in non-governmental organisations (e.g. mediators, social workers). Graduates receive a bachelor’s degree which give them the right to apply for enrolment in a supplementary master’s course (including in the planned Criminology 2nd cycle course) or to continue their studies by taking a post-graduate course.
