Applied Linguistics is a field of study that provides advance competence in two foreign languages, as all the theoretical and practical subjects are taught in both languages in parallel.
The Applied Linguistics graduate has the knowledge about the language, literature and culture of two linguistic areas. Furthermore, the graduate has the methodology to teach two foreign languages and the methodology of translation.
Applied Linguistics graduates can find employment everywhere that requires a very good command of English and German, e.g. translation agencies and publishing houses, the media, in the education services sector, at the branch office of foreign companies in Poland, in European Union institutions, at airports and in the tourist service sector.
