Graduates of this course have a good knowledge of designing with the use of modern calculating tools; machine manufacturing, build and operation, with a special emphasis on medical engineering. They also have a mastery of basic medical knowledge they learn by attending lectures on human anatomy and physiology, surgery, biochemistry, neurology, immunology and much more.
They can find work in the spheres of design, construction and technology. They can deal with the manufacture and operating of mechanical equipment used in surgery and medical and rehabilitation procedures. They can work for companies and run small and medium-sized enterprises manufacturing rehabilitation and medical equipment. They can also have a career in companies specialising in the design and manufacture of artificial organs and prosthetics and the service companies who deal with the selection, purchase, installation and repair of the equipment mentioned above.
