The aim of the Sociotherapy course is to broaden and supplement knowledge about the diagnosis and therapy of behavioural disorders, rehabilitation pedagogy, drug and alcohol abuse prevention, the developmental needs of each age group and the dynamics of group processes. The course enables students to acquire and improve practical educational and therapeutic skills, i.e. establishing and building interpersonal relationships, planning and organising psycho-corrective activities in group meetings and running sociotherapy groups.
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the skills necessary to run sociotherapy activities in kindergartens, schools, public and integration institutions, as specified in the Order of the Minister of National Education of 17 November 2010, as well as in caretaking and educational, rehabilitation, therapeutic and psychoeducational institutions, in social welfare institutions and in non-governmental organisations.
This Post-Graduate Sociotherapy course is directed to: persons who want to acquire the right to run sociotherapy activities, first and second cycle college graduates and graduates of unified courses leading to master’s degrees, including those with teacher training and interested in working with children and young people using the sociotherapy method, psychologists, pedagogues, probation officers, day care room, dormitory and education centre counsellors who wish to acquire an additional professional specialisation or to update their existing knowledge.
