Graduates have obtained knowledge about contemporary issues and concepts in preschool and early school education. They can diagnose special-needs education needs and select the appropriate forms of therapy. They know various working methods in preschool and early school education. Graduates are also trained to support children’s development and early education, take early specialist intervention, develop education programmes, work together with the child’s family environment and also to perform creative teaching and educational programmes.
They know how to work with children in kindergarten and in early primary school.
The course is open to working teachers teaching in grades 1-3 and in kindergartens who do not have the full qualifications to work with children. The course is also open to college majors in pedagogical and humanist subjects, e.g. Polish, modern languages and Psychology. Majors in humanist subjects should have pedagogical training (post-graduate studies in pedagogical training or a qualifying course in pedagogical training).
